The Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago is one of 33 global offices of Turespaña, Spain's official government agency for tourism promotion based in Madrid. This office is dedicated to promoting Spain's convention, meeting, business, and incentive tourism products throughout the United States.
As a key liaison, the Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago connects suppliers and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) in Spain with buyers and planners in the USA. Over the years, we have conducted a wide range of marketing activities, including workshops, familiarization trips, trade shows in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry, and networking events. These efforts are made in collaboration with industry associations and Convention Bureaus (CVBs) in Spain.

Last Summer 2023 we've renovated the majority of our meeting rooms and last Winter we've renovated the entire lobby area. We now offer a new restaurant, Casa de Comidas, and a new Bar, Bikini Bar.

The Spain Convention Bureau (SCB) is a network of local organisations that currently groups 63 convention destinations. It was created in 1984 as a specialised section of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), under the name Spanish Section of Convention Cities.
These 63 destinations, distributed across Spain, have sufficient human and technical means to organise meetings and events for a minimum audience of 500 people.
The professionalisation of the service through the Convention Bureaus, the diversity of the offering that brings together cities and towns all over Spain, the experience in the organisation of large events, and the cultural, natural, and gastronomic resources of each region constitute the identifying traits of the Spain Convention Bureau.
