Mamma Mia - The Party

We are delighted to confirm that Manchester City Council has approved plans for the development of a new immersive event venue at Medlock Square that will host the hugely popular, global hit Mamma Mia! The Party.

Set to open in late 2027, the purpose-built venue will welcome up to 600 guests per performance, bringing the world-renowned entertainment experience to Manchester for the very first time. Combining live music, theatre, food and storytelling, Mamma Mia! The Party will offer visitors an unforgettable night out. The original UK production at London’s O2 continues to welcome audiences and has to date delivered over 1,500 performances to over 700,000 guests from 110 countries, whilst the Stockholm production recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Situated between the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live, Medlock Square will feature a vibrant mix of restaurants, bars and cafés, a new immersive Manchester City museum experience, stadium roof walk, zip-wire and abseiling attraction, as well as a 3,000-capacity covered events space that will host seasonal activations, live shows, sports screenings and brand collaborations.
