Acclaimed restaurateur Sam Fox is opening five original restaurant concepts inside the Global Ambassador, his highly anticipated luxury hotel that's scheduled to open in November 2023 at 44th Street and Camelback Road in a Phoenix neighborhood Fox has called home for a long time. Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald Jr. and country singer Dierks Bentley are also involved with the project.
Fox previously announced the first restaurant, theà, a Mediterranean concept that will be opening on the roof of the Global Ambassador and has now revealed the entire dining lineup.
“These five restaurants are gathering places, not only for travelers and hotel guests, but for locals who have been instrumental in our success," Fox said in a news release.
Here are all the restaurants opening at the Global Ambassador Hotel in Phoenix.
Le Âme is a Parisian steakhouse specializing in French cuisine, including steak frites au poivre, French onion soup, tuna carpaccio and brick-pressed chicken coq au vin. The restaurant will offer a selection of French wines and cocktails. Le Âme will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
Le Market is a small French-style cafe offering pastries and espresso in the mornings and cheese boards with wine in the evenings. According to Fox, the atmosphere is meant to invite socialization over small bites.
The Lobby Bar at the Global Ambassador will offer cocktails and entertainment, such as jazz trios and special artist-in-residence nights. Two of the drinks Fox and his team are most excited about are the Basil and Ginger, which is a gin cocktail made with Hendricks, fresh basil and house-made yellow bell pepper syrup topped with both sparkling wine and a splash of ginger beer; and the Caffe Du Jour, which is a riff on the classic espresso martini that combines slow-steeped proprietary coffee, Borghetti Italian liqueur and freshly grated nutmeg. The all-day snack menu includes lobster croquettes and house-made potato chips with French onion dip and caviar.
Pink Dolphin
Pink Dolphin is a Mexican and Peruvian-inspired poolside restaurant serving seafood and margaritas. Highlights include a Peruvian ceviche with shrimp, white fish or scallops and the Cancha, made with shallow-fried corn seasoned with salt and lime.
theà Mediterranean rooftop aim's to be one of the West's most picturesque rooftop settings, with views overlooking Camelback Mountain.
theà's menu will include a variety of Mediterranean dishes including charred octopus, Moroccan roasted carrots and six dips including a surprise that Fox calls "the Goddess of All Dips." The dish Fox is most excited about is the Spaghetti alla Nerano, which he said is made with a zucchini pasta that he tried and fell in love with during a trip to Italy.
