About the British Virgin Islands
Comprised of 60 storied islands and pristine cays, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) are located 50 miles east of Puerto Rico. The main islands are Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke. American Airlines offers 3-4 daily non-stop flights from Miami (MIA) to the Beef Island/Tortola Airport (EIS). The equipment holds 76 passengers and is slightly over 2 hours. Other flight options are connecting through San Juan, PR on Silver Airways, Tradewinds or InterCaribbean Airways.
