Discovery Hotel Management was born in September 2012 with a clear mission: to breathe new life into a unique collection of hospitality properties. Since then, we’ve brought together a passionate team of experts in tourism and real estate — people who truly love what they do.

But DHM is about more than just hotels. It’s about places with soul. Each of our 16 properties — from the Douro Valley to the Algarve, through the heart of Portugal and Alentejo, out to the stunning island of São Miguel in the Azores — has its own personality and is deeply connected to its surroundings. Authentic, relaxed, and full of local flavour, every hotel tells its own story.

We don’t just offer places to stay — we create experiences that feel right, respect nature, and celebrate what makes each region special. Whether you’re planning a corporate meeting, incentive trip, or a team retreat, our hotels provide inspiring settings that spark creativity and foster connection. Behind it all? Solid partnerships, a focus on sustainability, and a commitment to doing things properly — because we believe the best service comes from doing things with heart.
