Still  renowned locally, as “The Newporter,” the hotel’s team, many of whom  have been here for 30 to 40 years, continue to delight multiple generations  of guests and local residents alike. Halfway between Los Angeles and San  Diego, it remains the perfect coastal getaway, nestled among 26 acres of  lush and mature landscaping on the Back Bay. The hotel and grounds are a  toast to the SoCal lifestyle and its team has been helping create memories  for more than five decades. We recently updated our lobby and arrival  experience and added a new market and have more exciting news to share. The hotel is well-known member of the community and is best known for  its commitment to bringing live music to Newport Beach. The Summer  Concert Series was started in 1994. The following year the Newport Beach  Jazz Festival, a 3-day music festival that transforms the hotel and grounds,  was launched. Over the last 28 years, JazzFest and the Summer Series has  brought to its stage such major musical acts, including Smokey Robinson,  Natalie Cole, Michael MacDonald, Kenny Loggins and Chaka Khan
