Convention Center Expansion Coming!

Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center expansion design is underway! The highly anticipated convention center expansion is anticipated to breakground in December 2026 with an anticipated completion in late 2030. 

Expansion by the Numbers

298,100 square feet of new expansion space, bringing the total facility to 798,100 square feet.

• 50,000 square foot divisible flex halls
• 18,000 square foot ballroom
• 13 new meeting rooms with additional pre-function space

The Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center is joined by the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau: VisitRaleigh, Raleigh Marriott City Center Hotel, Sheraton Raleigh (soon to be a Westin) and the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley Hotel.
