Nadi, Fiji — May 15, 2026
Fiji Airways has introduced FlyWell, a wellness programme it describes as the first of its kind
among airlines, aimed at improving the wellbeing of both passengers and crew. The programme
was developed with a group of wellness partners and rolled out on select long-haul routes and in
the airline's Nadi lounge starting June 1, 2026.
FlyWell brings together wearable recovery technology, mental-performance beverages, red light
therapy, and electromagnetic-field (EMF) protection. Partners named include Firefly Recovery, Ra
Optics, Magic Mind, Aires Tech, and Vital Red Light, whose red light therapy is being offered
inside the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge at Nadi International Airport.
Where it's available
The offerings are initially limited to Business Class travelers on select long-haul flights connecting
Nadi with two North American cities, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as guests of the
Nadi Premier Lounge. Fiji Airways says the lounge now also functions as an EMF-friendly
environment, aided by Aires Tech installations intended to reduce ambient electromagnetic
exposure from devices and networks.
Rollout structure
The airline is phasing in the programme: products are complimentary for Business Class guests
during the first two months, after which a selection becomes available for onboard purchase in the
third month. Crew wellbeing is also part of the initiative, with red light therapy and Aires Tech
equipment placed in the crew lounge at Nadi.
Fiji Airways managing director and CEO Paul Scurrah tied the launch to the carrier's ambition of
being the “World's Happiest Airline,” framing FlyWell as an effort to help guests and crew arrive
rested and recovered after long-haul journeys. The airline says it plans to keep expanding the
programme with additional wellness partners and products over time.
