The multi-award-winning Tangará Jean-Georges, located at the luxurious Palácio Tangará hotel in São Paulo, has once again been awarded a MICHELIN Star in the 2025 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Rio de Janeiro & São Paulo, announced today in São Paulo. This marks the fourth time the restaurant has received the prestigious MICHELIN Star, highlighting the consistency and quality of its cuisine and service.
“Receiving the MICHELIN Star once again is an honor that celebrates our team and fills us with pride. This recognition celebrates the tireless dedication of our Chefs and service teams, as well as their passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Above all, we would like to thank our Guests and Clients, who inspire us every day to go beyond expectations,” says Celso Valle, General Manager of Palácio Tangará.
Opened in 2017, Tangará Jean-Georges quickly established itself through its sophistication and excellence, bringing the culinary vision of French-American Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, an influential name on the global culinary scene with restaurants spanning from New York to Tokyo. In Brazil, his concept embraced a local character, and ever since, the restaurant has maintained a distinctive gastronomic experience in São Paulo, blending refined French techniques with Asian influences and Brazilian ingredients. The restaurant is led by Palácio Tangará Executive Chef Filipe Rizzato and Chef Neusi Machado, who heads an outstanding culinary team.
The tasting menu is at the heart of the experience, featuring delicacies such as Caviar and Brioche, with confit egg yolks and fresh herbs; Bluefin Tuna Ribbons, served with avocado, radish and ginger sauce; and Caramelized Foie Gras, accompanied by roasted shiitake, toasted brioche and fig infused with Port wine. Among the main courses, the Grilled Duck Magret, prepared with spices, coconut and lemongrass infusion, finger pepper and green cabbage, offers a remarkable balance of flavors, while the Grilled Wagyu is served with roasted broccoli, pistachio crumble and roti sauce with aged balsamic. The experience concludes with the Passion dessert, featuring dark chocolate, passion fruit, caramel and cocoa (R$1,040).
In addition to the tasting menus, Tangará Jean-Georges also offers an à la carte selection, including the exceptional Spiced Sea Bass with sweet-and-sour jus and seasonal vegetables (R$216); the Lamb Duo, featuring grilled lamb rack, crispy rib, smoked spice glaze and asparagus (R$250); and the Langoustine Risotto with green apple and dill (R$190).
Beyond its impeccable cuisine, Tangará Jean-Georges is distinguished by its sophisticated setting and its highly sought-after Chef’s Table, overlooking the open kitchen and allowing guests to follow each stage of the dishes’ creation.
“It is a true tête-à-tête between the kitchen and the dining room, which makes the experience truly special,” says Neusi Machado, Chef at Tangará Jean-Georges.
The wine pairing, curated by Sommelier Marcela Celeguim, elevates the experience by bringing together flavors and aromas in perfect balance. The wines are carefully selected to enhance the flavors of each dish, creating a symphony of sensations that transforms the occasion into a truly celebratory moment.
