Tony Leggio has an extensive career in the hospitality community pertaining to event production and destination management as well as promoting New Orleans around the globe. He has been working in the destination management industry for the past ten years. Prior to that, his hospitality jobs were with Mardi Gras Productions and in the Public Affairs Department of the New Orleans & Company. Tony has produced thousands of events locally and nationally during his career. He is an active member of the following organizations: Meeting Planners International (MPI), National Association of Caterers and Events (NACE) and New Orleans & Co. He is past President of NACE and the Hospitality Education & Networking Association (HENA). He is President Elect on the board of the Gulf States Chapter of MPI.
Besides his professional career, Tony has played an active role in the community. He has served as Event Chair of Art Against AIDS for NO/AIDS Task Force/Crescent Care and was honored as Humanitarian of the Year by the organization. He currently sits on the non-profit boards for NOAGE (New Orleans Advocates for LGBT Elders), BYOBikes, Gay Easter Parade and Halloween New Orleans. He participates in Gay Mardi Gras and has been Captain & King of the Mystic Krewe of Satyricon carnival organization; and Captain & King of the Krewe of Armeinius. He has also been a past Grand Marshal for the Gay Easter Parade, New Orleans Pride and Southern Decadence.
