The Ministry of Tourism serves as the nodal agency responsible for formulating national policies and programmes related to tourism. It also coordinates the activities of various Central Government agencies, State Governments and Union Territory administrations, as well as the travel industry, to promote and facilitate the development of tourism across the country.
