Sherrif Karamat, CAE, is President and CEO of PCMA and CEMA, a global community for business events strategists that provides education, networking and market intelligence.

Sherrif leads PCMA’s global family of brands. His work focuses on helping communities support economic and social progress, organizational success and professional development.

He is a former Chair of the Events Industry Council Board of Directors and continues to serve as a Board member. Sherrif also serves on the boards of the Exhibitions and Conferences Alliance and Titans of Chicagoland. He is a member of George Washington University’s Leadership Council for its Master of Tourism Administration program.

Sherrif holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from York University in Toronto, Canada. He has completed postgraduate certificate programs at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago.

He has also completed programs in strategic negotiations for senior executives at Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School, and in data intelligence and big data at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sherrif is a three-time Titan of Chicago and an inductee into the Titan Hall of Fame of Chicagoland.
