Our Flagship Projects

Italy at Hand – The Event
   Our annual B2B signature event, bringing together top Italian suppliers and qualified  international buyers through over 2,000 pre-scheduled meetings and immersive experiences. 

Hosted each year in a different Italian destination, after Bologna, Roma, Milano, Naples, Torino and Venice this year The Event will take place in Palermo, November 10-13 2026.

Italy at Hand – Famtrips
   A series of curated familiarization trips for international buyers, designed to highlight Italy’s jaw-dropping line-up of destinations and activities available to International buyers interested in Italy as a MICE destination.

Italy at Hand – International
   Exclusive roadshows with strategically selected stops, offering the opportunity to connect with top Italian MICE suppliers through dynamic B2B workshops. These events foster valuable partnerships, unveil new business opportunities, and offer a first-hand experience of the excellence and authenticity of Made in Italy MICE.

Italian Knowledge Leaders
   Launched in 2021, the project aims to engage and support the Italian academic community in its pursuit of innovation, knowledge, and cultural exchange. In today’s world—where ideas, technology, and creativity drive progress across sectors—the MICE industry has both the responsibility and the opportunity to foster collaboration among institutions, researchers, and global experts.
   Convention Bureau Italia works alongside Italian Knowledge Leaders to raise awareness and provide support in international conference bidding, with the goal of developing and positioning Italy’s academic hubs as true “Knowledge Destinations” on the global stage.

• The Exchange: A high-level B2B event within the project, where international associations and Italian destinations meet to foster dialogue, partnership and best practices.
• The Event: The annual flagship appointment of the Italian Knowledge Leaders initiative, featuring workshops, networking, and strategy-sharing moments focused on attracting international congresses. The next edition will take place in Trieste, April 6th-8th 2027.

Italy for Weddings
   Italy for Weddings is a dedicated project of Convention Bureau Italia created to support Italy’s exceptional Wedding Destinations and industry professionals in promoting their unique offerings within the Destination Wedding market.
   The initiative provides valuable insights into market trends, personalized promotional and research opportunities, expert-led training sessions, and much more.

Sustainable Events Industry
   Developed with the Ministry of Tourism and ENIT, this national project promotes sustainable practices through an official handbook, assessment tools, and industry-wide training aimed at making the Italian MICE sector greener and more responsible.
