How to have your most sustainable show
A more sustainable IMEX America doesn’t begin with one grand gesture. It’s built from thousands of thoughtful choices, made by you, our team, our partners and suppliers, and every person who joins us in Las Vegas.
In other words, this one needs all of us.
Last year, 90% of show waste was diverted from landfill, 90kg of food was recovered for donation and 87% of show carpet was returned to inventory. Those numbers show what’s possible when we work together. This year, we want to go further—and there are plenty of ways you can help.
Make your pledge
Whether you’re coordinating a booth or attending as a buyer, you can join the People and Planet Pledge and commit to championing social impact and environmental responsibility at IMEX America.
Participating exhibitors will receive a green booth number and we’ll also add their names to the list of exhibitors taking action, displayed at the People & Planet Theater. Team members can also collect green ribbons to wear at the show. A small acknowledgement—and a visible sign that they’re part of something bigger.
The pledge isn’t about having every answer. It’s about choosing to act, sharing responsibility and making sustainable practices part of how we do things.
Measure what matters
Good intentions matter. Knowing your impact helps turn them into progress.
That’s why we’ve also partnered with TRACE by isla for the Event Carbon Measurement Bundle. It’s designed to help event professionals turn sustainability ambitions into clear, credible action by understanding the carbon footprint of their events.

Rethinking booths
For exhibitors and booth constructors, some of the most important decisions happen long before the show floor opens.
Our two sustainability guides, one for exhibitors and one for booth constructors, offer practical advice covering the full booth journey, from design and materials to packaging, lighting, setup, breakdown and resuse. Better Stands will be at the show to assess booth reusability.
Share what works
Sustainability moves forward faster when good ideas are shared. If you’ve found a smarter material, a better way to reuse booth elements or a simple change others could adopt, tell us.
Because the most sustainable IMEX America won’t be created by us alone. It will be created through the choices we all make before, during and after the show, the lessons we share and the actions we carry home.
Small steps count. Shared across a global community, they can travel a very long way.
