Barbara Ann Michaels, Jester of the Peace, is a performance artist and interfaith minister who uses humor to support well-being and positive social impact.
She founded HumorVille, an immersive pop-up destination focused on humor and wellness in Brooklyn, New York, along with the HumorVille Artist in Residence program, which supports creators using humor for social good. An arts facilitator for more than 30 years, Barbara Ann’s mission is to put humor back in the medicine cabinet for future generations.
She tours audience-interactive experiences internationally across corporate, conference, cultural, academic and community settings. She is also a keynote speaker and trainer on humor as a human right, body language awareness and transformational creative practice.
Barbara Ann is a graduate of Brown University, Massachusetts College of Art and One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. She is also an award-winning wedding officiant and an Ambassador of the Global Play Brigade, as well as a member of the World Experience Organization.
