Ajay Bhojwani has lived in the Middle East for more than 30 years. A graduate of Osmania University in India, he holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Wollongong in Australia.
He began his career in market research, working with organizations including AC Nielsen and NFO MeraC, analyzing consumer trends and buying behavior across FMCG sectors. He later joined Informa, where he led the development of strategic oil, gas and energy conferences in emerging markets before moving to MCI Group.
Ajay has spent more than 16 years in the meetings industry. As Regional Managing Director, Middle East and Africa for MCI Group, he oversees operations spanning more than 250 events annually across 20 countries through five offices.
Alongside his role at MCI, Ajay serves as a council member of IAPCO, an ambassador for The Iceberg and President of The Events Group (TEG), a nonprofit organization supporting event professionals in the UAE through knowledge sharing and professional development.
