Working closely with HQ New Zealand, AJ Hackett Bungy NZ offers a range of adventurous experiences across New Zealand, with key operations in Queenstown, Auckland and Taupō, including the iconic Kawarau Bungy Centre.
In Queenstown, visitors can experience the "World Home of Bungy" at the Kawarau Bungy Centre, which was the first commercial bungy jump site established in 1988. This site is nestled into a rock face overlooking the Kawarau River and offers options for water touches and tandem jumps, a solo, tandem or three-person Swing, and a solo or tandem Zipride. Queenstown also boasts the Nevis Playground, featuring New Zealand’s highest bungy, the Nevis Bungy (134m), the Nevis Swing, the world's most famous Swing and the world's biggest human Catapult. With options to hire exclusively for a full or half day you can help your groups face their fears. The Ledge perches atop the Skyline Gondola, 400m above Queenstown, delivering some of the best panoramic views in town. From there, jumpers can choose the freestyle-style Ledge Bungy (47m, waist-harness, running-jump style) or the Ledge Swing (47m arc), both serving up an adrenaline hit with unbeatable, photo-worthy scenery over the town below (re-opening November 2026).
In Auckland, AJ Hackett operates the Auckland Bridge Climb, a fully guided tour to the summit of NZ’s unique Harbour Bridge. You can also do a bungy jump off the bridge and even touch the ocean! Auckland also offers three thrilling experiences at NZ’s tallest building: on the SkyWalk, well trained guides take guests on the outside ring of the Sky Tower, 630ft (192m) up, with no handrails, offering breathtaking 360-degree views. To a real adrenaline rush, the SkyJump is a high-speed controlled descend from 630ft high. On a seated harness you’ll drop fast and land smoothly at the bottom. And if you can’t commit to the top, the SkyRide starts at the base of the tower, lifting you up on a 60 second vertical ride up, before the fast way back down.
The Kawarau Bungy Centre is also available as a unique private venue for various events. It can host cocktail functions, incentive or team-building events, and gala dinners. The centre has a total capacity of up to 250 guests (more upon request), with different areas available for hire, including the inside of the centre, the main viewing deck, and the lower viewing deck. On-site kitchen facilities and an alcohol license are available.
This venue is like no other in the world as activities like Bungy Jumping, Three-Person Swing and Zipride can be incorporated into events. The venue is equipped with a built-in stage, big screen, and sound system. Transport options are available, and the centre is located approximately 25 minutes from Queenstown CBD, with free coach parking.
