AVA Resort Cancun is extending its "Every Stay, Your Way" campaign to the MICE market, with a message for planners: a group program works best when attendees can keep their own pace and the organizer doesn't have to manage every hour. The resort offers about 90,000 square feet of event space, 1,622 guest rooms and 17+ culinary venues on a single property, ten minutes from Cancún International Airport. A conference, an incentive trip and a wedding can run at the same time without sharing a corridor.
The meeting infrastructure is built for scale. The flagship AVA Salon divides into 16 sections, includes a built-in stage and green rooms, and accommodates up to 5,000 guests. The second-level GALA Salon, twelve collaboration rooms, oceanfront meeting rooms and private boardrooms cover everything from product activations to executive sessions. A dedicated planning team handles AV coordination, catering customization, transportation and entertainment.
For incentive and corporate groups, AVA shifts across the day: attendees can sit in a morning plenary, spend the afternoon at the 60,000-square-foot spa or on AVA Bay, the resort's 2.8-acre lagoon, and end the night at the nightclub or the theater. Quiet zones and high-energy zones sit side by side without interfering with each other, so a leadership retreat and a sales kickoff can share the property and each keep its own rhythm. Time together. No agenda.
The same logic applies to the family groups and weddings that MICE planners increasingly combine with business travel. A wedding party of three generations can have the ceremony on an oceanfront terrace, teens in the kids' and teens' programming, and grandparents by the quiet pool. Three generations. Zero negotiations. Everyone in the family gets their own day, and the couple and their planner are not the ones managing it. A corporate reunion works the same way, with colleagues who want a workshop, a spa session or a late night each getting one.
Scale does not sacrifice standard. Every experience at AVA, from the ballroom to the buffet, is designed under 4 Diamond certification. "Planners usually have to choose between a venue big enough for the program and one calm enough to enjoy it," said Manuel Rubio, AVA Resort Cancun's Sales Director. "We built one property that is both, so nobody has to choose."
