Hard Rock Hotel Cancun and Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, two of the brand´s most prominent beachfront properties in Mexico, paused operations this summer for extensive physical and experiential upgrades, yet reservation systems for both properties are now officially open, allowing travelers and planners alike to secure bookings ahead of the December 18, 2026 grand reopening.
Meeting and convention spaces at both properties will receive a complete design overhaul, with contemporary aesthetics and updated capabilities built for group gatherings and events — alongside renovated infinity pools and a freshly curated collection of music memorabilia. Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta's beachfront wedding chapel will receive an elegant renovation as well, offering an updated setting for destination ceremonies and celebrations. The renovation also spans fully remastered guestrooms and suites (600 in Cancun and 362 in Vallarta), reimagined family programming and kids clubs, expanded Rock Spa wellness sanctuaries, and a complete overhaul of lobbies, bars, and specialty restaurants.

The five-month pause is on schedule and strategically timed to minimize disruption to annual travel plans while readying both resorts for peak winter season. With newly upgraded event spaces debuting alongside the properties themselves, planners are encouraged to lock in 2027 meetings, incentive programs, and celebrations early, as availability for prime winter and spring dates is expected to move quickly. Advance booking windows are open now, with exclusive re-opening privileges available for early registrants.
