David Tapper, CMP, CPCE, is Executive Director of Catering & Conference Management at Resorts World Las Vegas. He leads the team responsible for delivering meetings, conventions, social events and culinary experiences across the resort.

David’s work brings together hospitality, event design, culinary innovation and operations to create experiences shaped around each client’s objectives and audience. He also focuses on developing event professionals.

David has more than 25 years’ experience in hospitality and events, including leadership roles with MGM Resorts International, The Mirage, The Venetian and Palazzo, and The Willard InterContinental in Washington, DC. Events he has overseen or supported have received five Special Events Gala Awards.

David was named the 2023 NACE Las Vegas Event Professional of the Year. He has served on the boards of NACE Las Vegas, ILEA and Nevada School of the Arts, and holds CMP and CPCE designations.
