Andrew Hoag is Global Category Manager for Meetings & Events at Biogen, where he leads the company’s meetings industry procurement category. He works across the organization to strengthen meeting strategy, supplier partnerships and the value delivered through business events.
Andrew’s career spans more than 20 years in event production and hotel operations. He joined Biogen in 2022 and is now an active industry speaker and educator, focused on strengthening partnerships between procurement and event professionals.
Andrew was named a 2025 Meeting Professional of the Year by Smart Meetings and a 2026 Meetings Trendsetter by Meetings Today. He is also a member and volunteer in several industry organizations, including MPI, CEMA and ELX.
Outside work, Andrew lives in Massachusetts with his wife and daughter. He enjoys traveling and live music.
